Sometimes, bigger is not always better. Some RVers want to travel light and more maneuverable, even though a fully equipped Class B fifth wheel or fifth wheel with a fireplace are luxurious.

Many popular truck campers and travel trailers require trucks that weigh 3/4 ton or larger SUVs to tow, but there are some campers that can be easily carried by small SUVs or lighter trucks. The new Toyota RAV4 can carry up to 2,000 pounds. The basic Toyota Tacoma model can tow approximately 3,500 lb. This gives you plenty of room to tow an ultra-lightweight camper.

A pop-up ceiling adds extra headroom to the room, which is reminiscent both of the Eriba Puck vintage and the desert mongoose that it is named after.

4. Alaskan Campers Truck Camper Cabover

Since the 1950s, the Alaskan Truck Camping has been in existence. This has allowed them to perfect their lightweight design. The hard-sided, pop-up campers are available in a variety of sizes and weights. However, the Cabover Camper weighs only 1,390 lb.
